About The Photographer

Albert Dros, born in 1985 in Amersfoort, is known as an extremely passionate landscape photographer. He normally travels all around the world to capture the most beautiful landscapes and cityscapes. We receive lots of questions about the book. Here are some answers:

How many photos are in the book?
320 pages, containing 242 photos in total (including the cover). Lots of photos are spreads.

What language does the book have?
The book has 2 languages: English and Dutch. Every chapter has an introduction in these 2 languages, displayed in an elegant way, and some ‘special’ shots have a short text

Is there EXIF info about the shots in the book?
This book is not primarily aimed at photographers, so we did not include EXIF info in the book. However, for those interested, you can download a PDF file here containing all EXIF info from the photos in the book!

What about location info?
Every chapter has a short introduction talking about the locations in the photo. There is also a register at the end of the book showing rough information where shots were taken. There are however, no exact GPS coordinates.

In what countries will this book be available?
Worldwide. Even though the preorder started in The Netherlands, this book will be available worldwide on Amazon and big book stores.

How much postprocessing is involved in the photos of the book?
Albert’s photography style definitely involves postprocessing and sometimes complex techniques. Processing techniques involve working on colour and contrast. Moments are never altered: all moments are completely real: from the aurora above the windmills, the spectacular tulip lightning strikes, and all other spectacular moments in the book. Albert is extremely persistent, and spends a lot of time and effort to get the perfect shots in the field.

What gear does Albert Dros use?
All photos in the book are taken with Sony Alpha gear. From the original Sony A7 to the newest Sony A7RV, with a wide range of Sony lenses. Albert Dros is supported by Sony and is a Sony Ambassador of Imaging for Sony Europe and Sony Benelux. Regarding other gear, please visit Albert's website at www.albertdros.com
