Aurora Tree

On the evening of January 19 there was an incredible aurora over The Netherlands. With extreme values of KP9+ for a short period of time, even aurora curtains could be seen dancing high up in the skies. These auroras happened in 2025 and 2026 because of the solar maximum. 

For this shot I took a minimalistic approach, focusing on the colours of the aurora and the beauty of this tree. With a slightly foggy atmosphere in the back, this photo is simple yet very powerful and mysterious.
